HEAVILY armed police have stormed a Sydney brothel where a dramatic siege is continuing.
Up to three hostages are understood to have been held in the Men’s Paradise brothel in Liverpool in Sydney’s west, sparking a large police operation in the area.
Negotiators were sent to George Street in Liverpool where a full-scale siege is now underway.
Police have burst through the doors of the George Street brothel and led a man from the building at around 11.30am.
Two women were later brought out about 11.40am before another man was led from the building greeted by armed police with handcuffs, the Daily Telegraph reports.
“There is a pretty large operation ongoing, we’re trying to get to the bottom of it,” a police spokeswoman said earlier.
Officers have established a perimeter and closed off parts of George Street between Moore and Scott Streets.
Police were called to 231 George Street at around 8.30am following concerns from an occupant.
Police say they are attempting to speak with a man inside the building and they believe there is a woman inside.
The address is believed to be a brothel, and bystanders have reported up to three hostages are believed to be held inside.
Crowds have gathered to watch the unfolding situation in the CBD area, kept back by police tape.
