Man accused of murdering girlfriend

BUKIT MERTAJAM: An unemployed man was charged at the Bukit Mertajam Sessions Court here today with the murder of his girlfriend in an incident at Pengkalan Datok Keramat, Bukit Tengah, last month.

Abdul Khalid Md Isa, 43, was accused of murdering Rohani Hashim, 30, at 4183, Jalan Pengkalan Datok Keramat, Bukit Tengah, between 4pm on Sept 29 and 6pm on Sept 30.

The charge, under Section 302 of the Penal Code, carries the mandatory death sentence.

No plea was recorded and no bail was offered.

Judge Musyiri Peet fixed Dec 15 for mention.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Lim Saw Sim prosecuted.
