Nigerian First Lady, Her Excellency Patience Goodluck Jonathan yesterday donated three lorry lords of food items to party women and youths across the sixteen local government areas of Kwara State.
The food items which arrived around 2:45pm were handed over to the state chairman of the party, Chief Iyiola Oyedepo and his other Executive members.
Meanwhile, while receiving the items, Akogun was full of appreciation to the First Lady for the ‘good gesture’ and assured her of a fair distribution of the items to all concerned.
“We are grateful to our mother for reaching out to us. We are happy for this timely gesture to our party members and other members of the public.”
“We are particularly delighted that these food items are coming at a time they are needed most. Considering the excruciating poverty that has continued to beat hard in Kwara today in the hands of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), especially among our women and the youths, there is sure no better time to receive such intervention than now.”
