British Transport Police believe that this man can help them in their enquiries.
British Transport Police are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a woman in the ladies’ toilets at Finsbury Park station at 11am on Thursday October 9.
Detective Constable Gerard Hughes said: “A woman in her thirties was approached by a man on the platform.
“He began making lewd suggestions and, despite the victim making it clear she did not want to engage with him, the man followed her into the women’s toilet on platform 7.
“While in the toilet, the man subjected the woman to a frightening ordeal, exposing himself”.
He added that the aggressor then performed a solo sex act in front of her.
“The woman tried to leave the toilet, but the man blocked her way.
“Thankfully, a member of station staff, who saw the man follow the woman, banged on the door, after which the man fled the station.”
Detectives have combed through CCTV footage, and now want to speak to the man pictured above in connection with the assault.
DC Hughes said: “This was an extremely disturbing incident, which, unsurprisingly, caused considerable distress to the victim.
“BTP is constantly working to ensure the rail network remains a safe place, free of all forms of unwanted sexual behaviour and violence.
“We need to find the person responsible for this crime. I believe the man in the picture we are issuing today has information which will help with our investigation.Do you recognise him? Please contact BTP.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference ESUB/B5 of 10/11/2014. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
This news comes as the Metropolitan Police are hunting a man who was placed on the sex offenders’ register for groping three women on the Tube network.
British Transport Police are also pursuing a man who groped a woman on a packed Piccadilly Line train for two stops until she managed to escape.
