…it’s a black-tie affair
Are you on the guest list Sir Tony Ezenna on the occasion of his daughter’s wedding on Saturday, October 11, 2014, in the city of Lagos?
Then, you have to get your ‘black tie’ ensemble ready to savour and relish the ceremonies at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and Oriental Hotel, both in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Those who choose traditional attires don’t have much to worry about.
All they should concern themselves with is that ‘black tie’ means very formal. So, they should pick very formal garbs, the most ceremonial attire in traditional mode.
For those who want to pick ‘Western’ apparels, especially women, they are spoilt for choice. Dames and damsels can pick heart-thumping drapes (in all the colours of the rainbow), from knee to floor sweeping, with different sleeves and straps. The shoes should be on point and dressy and high.
For gentlemen, tuxedo is the way to go. And they are lucky that the ceremonial ensembles come in exciting colours and fabrics these days – from wool to velvet and exciting patterns.
What is clear is that only black tie, preferably bow tie, is acceptable for black tie events.
Don’t forget, your ensemble consists… a tuxedo jacket, crisp white shirt, waist coast or cummerbund, braces or suspenders, trousers (which must be black, no matter your choice of jacket), socks and patent leather shoes.
Since Orange Drugs’ Sir Tony Ezenna wants a classy affair for Uchenna Cynthia and Chukueku Elurihika Gboneme, you have to comply to the dress code and help amplify the high octane nuptials!
