When ‘Baba Ijebu’ clocked 79

Billionaire businessman and philanthropist, Sir Kessington Adebukola Adebutu a.k.a Baba Ijebu, hit 79 last Friday. Though the celebration was low key, he didn’t forget to show kindness to his community.
An advocate of private-public partnership for social development, many were not surprised when he donated a part of his expansive building in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, to Wema Bank to enable easy banking transactions in the community.
Also the Balogun of Iperu, the ebullient socialite was said to have contributed generously to the set-up of the Babcock University Teaching hospital in the area. Extending his act of kindness to neighbouring countries, the Kessington Adebutu Faculty of Law building at the Houdegbe North American University, Cotonou, Benin Republic, is a masterpiece. Little wonder, his birthday was fraught with his musings on partnering with the government for infrastructural development.
