Nicki Minaj Apologizes For Nazi-Themed Imagery In 'Only' Music Video

Nicki Minaj is apologizing after new music video sparks controversy.

The 31-year-old rapper responded via Twitter Tuesday to using what looked like Nazi-themed imagery in the clip for her track "Only."

"I didn't come up w/the concept, but I'm very sorry & take full responsibility if it has offended anyone," she said regarding the mass criticism.

"Both the producer, & person in charge of over seeing the lyric video (one of my best friends & videographer: A. Loucas), happen to be Jewish."

"The artist who made the lyric video for "Only" was influenced by a cartoon on Cartoon Network called "Metalocalypse" & Sin City," she added, attempting to explain the theme.

The animated lyric video featuring Drake, Lil Waye and Chris Brown was released online on Saturday and shows Minaj as a fascist-looking figure presiding before an army of soldiers wearing red arm bands.

The initals for her record label, Young Money, can be seen on large banners, which appears to resemble swastika-like flags.

Once the video went viral, Minaj quickly felt the wrath of social media users who slammed her for glorifying Nazism.

"I'd never condone Nazism in my art," she stated in her series of tweets. AND 'I didn't come up w/the concept, but I'm very sorry & take full responsibility if it has offended anyone. I'd never condone Nazism in my art.' Nicki Minaj apologizes on Twitter for the Nazi imagery in her video Only.
