Protip: next time you go to the bank to make a deposit, make sure you’re only giving the teller money and not your stash of cocaine.
Oddly enough, a woman in Boulder, Colorado, never got that memo after she went to a local Wells Fargo branch and tried to deposit a bunch of cash along with her stash.
Only after the woman left the building did the teller realize there was about a half-gram of cocaine in the package.
Due to privacy laws, police can’t release the suspect’s name without a search warrant. However, because there was such a small amount of drugs deposited, Sgt. Melissa Kampf said it wasn’t worth the trouble.
In other words, case closed before it was ever opened.
Ultimately, Kampf couldn’t confirm who the woman was, where she got the money or if the drugs were even hers, saying, “It was just a stack of different kinds of bills. We can’t really even confirm she knew (cocaine) was in there.”
