Lola Webb is a prime example of why showbiz types say you should never work with children or animals.
But, with more than half-a-million views on YouTube in two weeks, the four-year-old is enjoying the sort of success that most showbiz types can only dream about.
During 95 seconds of footage shot by her father Dean, Lola simply fails to grasp the call-and-response theme of nursery rhyme One Day We Went To The Zoo.
As he repeatedly encourages her to sing the response ‘To the zoo’ from behind the camera, Lola is at first confused by the instructions.
Her father is patient, then a little impatient, and finally in fits of the giggles as Lola continues to fluff her line.
Dean, 32, who runs his own barbers in Dartford, Kent, said: ‘I said to her “you just have to sing to the zoo” and she gave me such a funny blank expression. I grabbed the iPad because it was so funny.
Lola’s mother Jade, 30, said: ‘We just can’t believe that it’s gone viral. When it went up online it gained more than 100,000 in a day.
‘Lola loves to sing and dance and goes to stage school, and she’s just so excited by the whole thing.’
Lola herself said: ‘I love singing and I love dancing and being famous.’
She might still have to work on the singing and dancing… but she seems to have the famous bit sorted out.
